REIN4CED was founded in January 2015. Michaël and Niels met at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), where they did research on innovative composite materials. Their strong theoretical background gained through education is combined with hands-on experience gained during their research. This combination enables them to answer both the questions ‘what is possible?’ and ‘what is feasible?’.
Michaël Callens received in 2014 a PhD from KU Leuven in Composite Engineering, on the subject of steel fiber reinforced composites. His expertise is in ductile fibres, mechanical modelling and vacuum assisted resin infusion. At REIN4CED, Michaël is responsible for project management and customer relations.
